One of the prime considerations for our business is making our energy use as minimal as possible, and making that use as environmentally sound as possible. Our lights are timed now, to ensure that we don't use any more energy than is necessary to grow the plants. We use special grow lights that are more energy efficient than ordinary fluorescents, and have plans to move to an LED lighting system. But our most exciting plans have to do with installing a solar energy system for our operations.

How cool is that? We will be using the energy of the sun to grow our plants, just harvested in a different format. Instead of photosynthesis, it’s solar-synthesis!

For a small business, it is difficult to incur the capital costs of this system initially, but it is an important priority for us, and we will continue to update the public on our movements into sustainability - we are committed to having a transparent business, especially with regards to environmental sustainability.
